The left side of the above figure is a side view of the reed used in a normal air jet loom.
The right side of the above figure is the latest reed for Toyota Industries, which is called e-Reed.
The main difference is the shape of the lower jaw of the reed.
As a result of the sub-nozzle being able to be placed closer to the reed tunnel,
the air to assist the weft gliding is more efficient and requires less air.
e-Reed is especially effective when weaving large lots.
